I would like to express my experience regarding the Intellectual Property Protection. I am a "Writer", a "Film Scriptwriter", "Film Director" and an Advocate. As a first step of my life i.e. from 1970-1980 I was as a Novelist and a film Script Writer. From 1980-1990 I entered in to the law field and practiced as an Advocate. From 2000 and till to day I have been working as an "Intellectual Property Protection Lawyer" and also from the experience I received for more than thirty five years, I am writing and presenting this "Thesis". I also consider that my "experience" will widen the knowledge up to a certain point within Myanmar regarding the "Intellectual Property Protection".

During 1969-1970, I started with the literary works, such as, Stories, Novels, Articles and they were written and presented in the Newspapers, Journals and Magazines. In 1973, I wrote a novel, named "Pyarye Lo Cho Ywe, Pyar Lo Ah Seit Pyin Thaw" ("Sweet as Honey and Poisonous as a Bee") was writes and distributed by "That Sara" Publishing House.Aung Soe, SarPayBeikMan Winning Award Between 1973 & 1978 I wrote Eleven Novels and there were printed and distributed by different Publishing House. The period between 1970-1980, I defended my living as a writer. As a writer in those years I witnessed the happenings regarding the "Copy Right" problems. The World Copy Right Scholars defined Creator as an Author and the Literature produced in termed as "Work". The Original Creator, (the one who creator the work) is termed as "Original". The LITERATURE & ARTISTIC WORKS are also defined as " Intellectual Property" Therefore as a writer I created "Hmone Dine Nya Kha Yee Their" (Storm Night Travelers)"Maize" (Dense Farert) "Shwe Hta Main Hmar Sein Dway Siparlo" (The "Long Skirt" Embroider with Diamonds) were the Novels of my "INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY" All my Intellectual Property were my "Works" and I owned them.

I joined the "film industry" in 1969 and from the same year to 1970 I worked as a salary paid film script writer in Pathein Film Company owned by "Director U par". In 1971, I was authorized to use my own pen Name for the scripts I woke. The first film script I produced was for the "Shwe Myit Moe" Films Company and was Directed by "Kyat Kyee Myat Oo." Actor & Actresses were Academy Soe Shwe, Shu Ma Wah San San Aye and Academy Aye Aye Thin had the leading Roles. The title of the Film was "Pyit Mat" (TARGET) was based on Myanmar circus.

After that I wrote "Pan Nu Yaung Ma Yint Ta Yint" (PINK Color DARK and not so DARK) for Director Maung Wunna and I continued my "scripts" writing till to day. The most distinguished one was the famous script I wrote for Director Maung Tin Oo, the title of the Film was "Thin Gyan Moe" (Water Festival Rain) & this Film won many Academy Awards including the Main" Picture (Film). So, I continued my film scripts writing and I mainly depended on it from 1970-1980.

My life as an Advocate I demarcate the period as "1980-1990" and I depended on it. As my first profession was a writer and a scriptwriter, my clients were mostly from the ARTISTS surroundings. In 1982 I accepted one case which is connected with Musical Work. At that time the most popular song writers were U Kyaw Hmue, Maung Swe Nwe, Pone Naca, Thu Ka Maing Hlaing, Maung Thit Min, Maung Sit Nyein Maung Sein Thu and Ko Thet Hmu. As their official Advocate I advertise in the Newspapers, Journals & Magazines to safe guard the "Copy Rights" of their Musical Works.
